Designed to provide a basic understanding of key issues facing today's marketing managers, this course introduces the student to fundamental concepts and techniques needed to manage the marketing function. Topics include the analysis of marketing opportunities and constraints, an examination of the decision-making process with respect to product, promotion, pricing, and distribution strategies as well as the planning and delivery of marketing programs. A managerial orientation is developed through the case study method. Prerequisites: ENG 01 and RDL 01 if required; MKT 11. Corequisites: ENG 02 and RDL 02 if required.
