Fall, Spring Materials fee will be required This is an advanced course that will cover spinning and dyeing, compound threads, working with natural and man-made fibers, and spinning of complex and mixed threads on a drop spindle and spinningwheel. Studentswill learnmanipulation of color and design of compound threads and fibers, and the preparation of fibers for thickthins, flakes, boules and other mixed threads. Theory and studio work will be combined in this course. Fibers and tools will be provided. Prerequisite: CRFT 122, Spinning and Dyeing: An Introduction.
