Fall Lab fee will be required. An introduction to analytical chemistry, this course covers volumetric and gravimetric analysis, potentiometry, quantitative and qualitative spectrophotometry, and gas and liquid chromatography. Laboratory work provides practical experience in typical procedures, with emphasis on accurate and precise quantitative analysis. Prerequisite: CHEM 111, General Chemistry II or equivalent.
