Spring, Summer Biochemistry reviews and applies important chemical principles and concepts to classes of biochemical compounds. The course focuses on how chemical structure aids in prediction and explanation of properties of biochemical compounds. Understanding these principles and concepts will allow students to correlate function with chemical structure. A previous college-level chemistry course may be helpful; a Regents-level or equivalent high school level course successfully completed is recommended.
