(Prerequisite: VET 106; Corequisite: VET 103) Presents an introduction to the principles and procedures for the veterinary practice laboratory. Emphasis is placed on laboratory safety, handling specimens, technical skills in hematology, cytology, clinical chemistry, serology, parasitology, and radiology, maintaining laboratory equipment, and quality control principles and practices. Topics include: handling of laboratory specimens and laboratory safety, principles of hematology and cytology, clinical chemistry, principles of serology, principles of urinalysis, principles of parasitology, and principles of radiology.
