(Prerequisite: Provisional Admission; ASC 107) Introduces automotive/electronic accessories, safety systems, and electronic devices used on DaimlerChrysler automobiles. Covers basic semiconductor theory, circuit construction, and testing. Topics include diagnosis and repair of lighting systems, gauges, warning devices, driver information system, horn and windshield wiper/washer system, and other accessories, diodes, zener diodes, transistors, LEDs, SCRs, Op-Amps, Flip-Flops, Logic Gates, and FETs. Also includes an orientation to a variety of circuits and circuit configurations and an introduction to computer theory. Contact hours: Class - 4, Lab - 6. Credit hours: 6. (Sp)
