Prerequisite: NURS 1010 This first adult health nursing course introduces the student to the provision and management of nursing care to diverse adult client populations in selected care situations in the acute care setting. Components of evidence based practice, health promotion and maintenance, nutrition, and pharmacology are incorporated into course teaching and clinical practice. Clinical decision making abilities are fostered through interdisciplinary collaboration. Emphasis is placed on a caring nurse-client relationship.
