Prerequisite: ENGL 1101 and 1102 This course is a survey of American literature from the Colonial period to the mid-nineteenth century and involves reading, analyzing, and interpreting significant literary works within their historical, social, and cultural contexts. Ethics in communications, electronic communications, oral presentations and written reports, proposals, letters, and memos are other featured topics.
