Prerequisite: CSCI 1000 or permission of instructor This course provides an introduction to the fundamental concepts in electronic data communication that includes background theory in the form of the OSI model and industry standards as well as a discussion of network typologies, components, and the IP addressing (including subnet masks). These concepts will enable the student to do basic network design.
