Pre-req.: MAT 050 or appropriate placement test score This is the first of a two-course sequence which satisfies Algebra basic skills requirements and provides the first level of preparation for college-level mathematics. This course introduces the properties of real numbers, polynomials, rational expressions, linear expressions, factoring quadratics and graphical methods. Placement in this course is based on the Algebra placement test score.
