Prereq: ECM 110, ECM 120, ECM 130 This course introduces the Montessori philosophy of Cosmic education, the Four Planes of Development, the essential qualities of a Montessori teacher, the spirituality of the child, and peace in a Montessori class-room. The course also introduces the Montessori geography, culture and science materials. The relationships among the scientific process, the innate curiosity of the young child, and the need to understand one's place in space and time are explored.
