Students are introduced to the terminology and basic scientific concepts necessary for subsequent courses in the Veterinary Science program. Topics include: ethics, safety, public health issues, anatomy and physiology, nurtrition, reproduction, parasitology, laboratory techniques, pathology and anesthesia, diagnostic imaging, dentistry, behavior, and nursing care of many animal species. Breed identification of dogs and cats is also covered.
