Agency and Corporate Travel Management - This course will review the major processes, functions, tasks, and concepts utilized in managing the dynamic environment of the modern-day travel agency and corporate travel department. Course material will introduce students to the career paths of agency management and corporate travel leadership. The course will also introduce students to the wide range of products and services available to todays' traveling public in both the leisure and corporate travel markets. Students will be exposed to the appointment/approval process of travel agencies by the Airline Reporting Corporation and other major travel suppliers. The work flow, paper flow, and accounting cycle of the travel agency and corporate travel departments will be reviewed. The concepts, procedures, tasks, and strategies of the modern-day corporate travel center will be introduced.
