America and the World 1750 to Present - This course will study and analyze the developing and ever-changing political, economic, and cultural relationship that the United States has shared with the world from its colonial origins, through its rise as a global power to the present day. This course will not only focus on the history of the United States' relations with other countries, but will also study the political, economic, and cultural interaction between the United States and the peoples of Europe, Asia, Africa, and Latin America during this time. The continuous impact of global actors and other world civilizations on the United States' relationship with the rest of the world will also be examined and assessed in great detail.
