The second of a two-semester sequence intended for Engineering Science students, This course is designed to continue the introduction to the engineering profession. Upper-division engineering transfer options are revisited, and students use Internet resources to investigate transfer requirements of one or more four-year engineering programs. General areas of engineering are discussed with illustrations of specific career paths available. Professional engineering registration, canons of conduct, and ethics are studied. Laboratory exercises, field trips, and design contests are undertaken in accordance with opportunity and the interests of students in the course.
