The internship provides students with direct work experiance in an area of law enforcement. Options include police or corrections agencies, courts, law offices, probation or parole offices or related functions. Students are placed in positions with the assistance of their academic advisor and program faculty. A contract is developed between the employer, student, and academic advisor outlining the goals and objectives of the internship as well as standards of performance and evaluation procedures. Prerequisites: CJUS 100 with C or better, good academic standing.
