This course consists of a 90-hour work experience in a repair shop setting where the student will perform diagnosis and repairs to brake hydraulic systems, drum and disc brakes, power assist units, wheel bearings, parking brakes, warning systems, and anti-lock brakes as relates to the requirements of the AUTO 115 brake systems course. The student will be supervised by management (preferably ASE certfied) at the participating shop. Students are required to maintain a log of all tasks and clock hours completed. The cooperating supervisor and program faculty must approve the records before a grade is assigned and credit is awarded.
