Facilitates development of physical assessment skills appropriate to performing a screening physical examination as part of a comprehensive nursing assessment. Content and practice focuses on developing student's ability to obtain a complete data base, identify physical assessment findings that fall outside accepted parameters of normal, and analyze data to formulate nursing diagnoses.
