This course is designed to develop basic reading skills necessary for success in collegiate studies. Literal and inferential comprehension skills and vocabulary development are stressed. Credit is not applicable toward A.A. or A.S. degrees. In addition to classroom requirements, students must attend a reading lab devoted to individualized computerized instruction to assist students with comprehension skills and reading rate. Prerequisite: placement test score mandates placement.
