This course is designed to build on material from the previous Career Transition into Professional Nursing course. The nursing process will be a guide for the student to utilize critical thinking skills to meet the biopsychosocial needs of clients with a variety of health issues. A case study approach, clinical simulation, and practice in both long-term and acute care settings will be used to facilitate meeting the needs of clients with issues associated with nutrition, elimination, metabolism, regulation, tissue perfusion, oxygenation, mobility, sensation, cognition, protection, and reproduction. Lab fee required. Prerequisite: NUR 1030C with grade of C or better. Corequisite: NUR 2520C with grade of C or better if completed.
