A beginning course designed to acquaint students with the elementary characteristics of the atmosphere. Students with an interest in aviation would especially benefit from many units taught in the course. Units include a study of atmospheric structure, heat budget, winds, air pollution, local and regional weather forecasting, and more. Weather products are downloaded from the Internet and used throughout the course. Optional field trips included. Lab fee required.
