This course focuses on the development of children 0-8 years of age. The theories of child development are introduced and discussed to acquaint the student with the importance of healthy growth and development childcare practices. Students will be introduced to typical stages of development through the theorist work and how to apply this information to children in their care. In addition to class meetings, this course requires practicum hours in a childcare facility.
