This course provides the skills and knowledge necessary to design a Windows 2003 Security Structure. Design topics include introduction to the framework of security design, identification of security threats and risks, and the process of designing security to accommodate physical resources, computers, accounts, authentication, data, data transmission, network perimeters, and how to create an incident response procedure/ plan when utilizing a Windows 2003 infrastructure. Knowledge of Windows XP and/or client interfaces is suggested. File/folder structure management and creation, DOS, and hardware knowledge is required. Lab fee required. Prerequisite or corequisite: CTS 2162C.
