This course provides students with the knowledge and skills needed in order to implement, maintain, and manage the use of routing and remote access, IP addressing in the form of dynamic host configuration protocol usage, name resolution in terms of both domain name and Windows Internet Naming Services, the procedure of domain name service deployment, and how to securely implement network communications using IPSec and certificate services in a Windows 2003 infrastructure. Knowledge of the Windows XP and/or client interfaces is suggested. File/folder structure management and creation, DOS, and hardware knowledge is required. Lab fee required. Prerequisite or corequisite: CTS 2131C.
