It is intended to enhance students' abilities to analyze, interpret, and evaluate issues, ideas, and problems. The course will focus on critical thinking and writing as mechanisms for processing information and for arriving at more objective conclusions based on reason and logic rather than on subjective biases and emotions. The strength of the course is the emphasis on writing as a away of extending thinking.
