REQUIRES ACCEPTANCE INTO THE NURSING PROGRAM. This course focuses on concepts and issues pertinent to professional nursing practice. The course is designed to facilitate the transition from student nurse to entry level practitioner. Discussion topics include: manager of care responsibilities, professional attributes, caring behaviors, cultural sensitivity, legal-ethical responsibilities, lifelong learning, and the role of the associate degree nurse within the current health care and nursing profession.
