4 hours, 4 credits. Prerequisite: AUT 111. Pre- or corequisite: AUT 104. The development of automotive electrical systems from early models to modern computerized diagnostic equipment. Topics include: digital volt ohm meters, logic probes, dual trace lab scopes, charging systems testers and engine analyzers. Students learn test procedures for charging, starting, body electrical and computerized control systems. The course prepares students for the ASE certification examination in automotive electrical systems.
