3 Credits, 3 Hours A beginning class in basic ballet techniques with or without previous training. This course provides the basics in technique and terminology. Instruction and training at the barre and in the centre: proper alignment, muscle awareness and control, introduction to dance movement and sense of rhythm. Strong foundation built for further studies in ballet, modern, jazz and musical theatre dance. (Satisfactory course completion fulfills one credit of the Physical Education requirement).
