4 Credits, 8.5 Hours Prerequisite: NUR 103 (if clinical calculations competency test not passed) NUR 106, NUR III, NUR 113, NUR 141, NUR 142, ENG101, ENG102, BIO 110, BIO III, CHMIOS, PED (I), PSYI03 and current MIA Basic Life Support Health Care Provider certification Pre-co-requisite: PSYI9I, PSY2I2 and a PED course The nursing process is applied to meeting the needs of patients during the maternity cycle. Normal physiological, psychological and social changes are considered, as well as health problems due to deviations from the normal. Laboratory experiences are provided in maternity settings in the community and in the nursing laboratory.
