An introduction to literary movements and literary analysis from indigenous works to contemporary literature. Emphasis on the application of technical terms to analyze short stories, poetry, essays, novels, and theatrical works. Prerequisite: SP221 or SP222 and SP345 or SP346; or SP418 or SP419 or equivalent or with permission of the instructor. 3 hours lecture, one semester; 3 credits.
