4 Credits, 4 Hours Pre-requisite: ELT 102, ELT 103 and ELT 104 The purpose of this course is to provide students with the competencies required to repair and maintain modern communications equipment including devices using PLL synthesizers and microprocessor control. Theory of operation of the circuits used in communications equipment and techniques necessary to repair these circuits are included. Modern test equipment such as digital oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers and station monitors are used. Lab work includes the repair of radio equipment used in the Rockland County Police Radio System.
