3 Credits, 3 Hours Prerequisite: AUT 904 or ATTP F.I.S.T. and permission of the Discipline Coordinator This 45 hours course is designed for the automotive technician that has successfully completed New York States ATTP Sign of Automotive Excellence (SAEP) courses: (F.E.E.T, S.T.E.P.S., C.A.P.S. and F.I.S.T). Using the diagnostic and repair procedures learned, this advanced level course incorporates a repair strategy that assures successful quality repairs by using digital scopes, exhaust gas analyzers, scanners and digital multi-meters. Using wave from analysis and base lining techniques, technicians practice how to diagnose and repair OED engine performance and drive ability problems, service fuel systems for optimum performance and economy, solve enhanced emissions failures and verify performance and emissions repairs.
