This course provides students with "hands-on" experiencein all phases of quantitative research, including: research design, sampling, questionnaire construction, data analyses, and formal research report writing. Students also learn to evaluate information so that their future decisions and work are based on social facts. Class discussions explore reasons why valid research is the basis for effective social action. Prerequisites: MATH 130 or SOC 211 and SOC 213 or SOC 218 or SOC 219
