Is designed to assign students to care for groups of clients (psychiatric, pediatric and obstetric) whose health is influenced by diverse socioeconomic, ethnic, racial, cultural, physical and environmental factors within the community. The nursing process is used as a base for critical thinking of assessment and nursing interventions that reflect professional practice. Emphasis is placed on comprehensive healthcare of individuals and groups in the psychiatric, pediatric and obstetric areas in the community and acute-care settings.
