Provides the basics of desktop publishing and computer layout design. Utilizing InDesign, a computer layout program in the Adobe Creative Suite, students learn to create a document, select fonts, format and edit text, and import graphics. Good layout design and type design practices are emphasized. Students also learn to scan, place, crop and manipulate digital images in preparation for printing. Design projects may include type design, logos, letterhead, envelopes, business cards, certificates, newsletters, package design and fliers. Prerequisites: Completion of ENG 98, if required, and any other CGA course or written permission of instructor Offered: Fall, Spring
