Enables students to produce high-quality movies for DVD, multimedia and the Web using iMovie and Final Cut Express/Pro. Fundamentals of file formats, computer hardware, file compression and software tools are presented. Students learn to make storyboards; capture video; mark and edit source clips; and use transitions, titles and audio tools. The finished movies in Quicktime format are burned to DVD for presentation on either a Mac or Windows computer. Students should have their own digital camcorder. However, camcorders may be available for loan. Prerequisite: CGA 101 or written permission of instructor Offered: Spring
