Introduces students to the concepts of vehicle extrication and emergency medical care of the patient. Students develop a working knowledge of vehicle rescue awareness. Students develop a working knowledge of the skills necessary to recognize potential hazards to vehicle rescue operations. With this basic knowledge, students are able to further develop the skills necessary to assure the safety of the patient, bystanders, and rescuers involved in vehicle rescue operations.
