(4 Credits--6 Hours) Prerequisite: Admission to Nursing Program. NUR 1461C. This course builds upon knowledge and skills gained in Parent-Child Nursing I. Learning is focused on advanced-beginner knowledge and skills in the nursing care of families who undergo normal and pathologic events. Emphasis is placed on adaptation to these events. Nursing roles and interventions in assisting parents, neonates, and children are integrated in both lecture and clinical experiences.
