(3 Credits--4 Hours) Prerequisite: CNT 2500 with a grade of "C" or higher.This course provides the knowledge needed to support local and wide area networks in an organization. It covers the fundamental building blocks that form a modern network, such as protocols, topologies, hardware, and network operating systems. It then provides in-depth coverage of concepts such as client/server architecture, TCP/IP, Ethernet, wireless networking and security. This course prepares students for the CompTIA Network+ certification.
