(3 Credits--4 Hours) Prerequisite: CNT 2500 with a grade of "C" or higher.This course provides the knowledge needed to support local and wide area networks in an organization. It introduces students to software and hardware used to implement modern data communications networks. The course includes these topics: network architecture, network protocols, IP addressing, subnetting, the Cisco router user interface, switching technologies and the IP routing process. This course prepares the student for the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification.
