CSU Prerequisite: Advanced standing in the Physician Assistant Program including completion of all first year courses. This course is designed to meet the state and national accreditation requirements for an approved Physician Assistant program. Students are assigned to the Department of Family Practice where, under supervision, they participate in a variety of patient care activities. Students are assigned to patients for medical history review, physical examination, diagnostic testing and within limitation imposed by education and experience, patient management. They attend daily grand rounds and special conferences with participating, where possible, in the elucidation of diagnosis and formulation of therapeutic plans. 336 hours laboratory.
