UC, CSU Prerequisite: None. Limitation on enrollment: Retention based on successful tryout and demonstrated proficiency in swimming a minimum of 400 yards without stopping. This course is designed to serve as an opportunity for first year collegiate athletes to develop fundamental skills in the sport of water polo. Athletes will be introduced to basic offensive and defensive team strategies. Introductory drills and practice techniques will be used to develop all aspects of the game. The student-athletes will participate in a physical conditioning program designed to prepare them for community college water polo. 180 hours laboratory.
