CSU Prerequisite: None. Limitation on enrollment: Advanced standing in the Physician Assistant Program including completion of all first-year courses. Designed to meet the state and national accreditation requirements for an approved Physician Assistant program. Students are assigned to the Department of Internal Medicine where, under supervision, they participate in a variety of patient care activities including rotation through Intensive and Coronary Care Units and the Emergency Room. Students are assigned to patients for medical history review, physical examination, diagnostic testing and within limitation imposed by education and experience, patient management. They attend grand and special conferences participating, where possible, in the elucidation of diagnoses and formulation of therapeutic plans. 336 hours laboratory.
