CSU Prerequisite: None. Limitation on enrollment: Acceptance into the Physician Assistant Program. Designed to meet the state and national accreditation requirements for an approved Physician Assistant program. The course provides a systematic approach to the basic skills and concepts of cardiopulmonary resuscitation, aseptic technique, operating room principles and guidelines, wound closure, bandaging and splinting, casting, parenteral medication administration, intravenous access, venipuncture, nasogastric intubation and bladder catheterization and standard precautions. 36 hours lecture and 54 hours laboratory.
