UC, CSU ( CAN ART 18) Prerequisite: None. Theory and practice in the basic techniques of producing quality black and white photographs with technical and artistic merit. Acquire competency in the use of cameras, photo materials and processes associated with basic darkroom procedures. Students are expected to supply their own 35 mm cameras with f-stop and shutter controls, film and enlarging paper for printing. Lab materials fee assessed. 27 hours lecture and 81 hours laboratory.
