UC*, CSU Prerequisite: None. This course is designed to allow the student to develop skills and interest in cross country skiing. Topics will include equipment and clothing selection, waxing, instruction in classical technique, skating technique and Nordic downhill. Practical application of skiing skills will take place in the field trips. Subsequent enrollment in additional semesters will provide the student an opportunity for added skill competency development within each activity area. Enrollment is limited to four times within the cross country skiing activity area. 54 hours laboratory.
