Prerequisite: MDA-1A and one of the following: CIS-1A or CIS/CAT-3, 50 or 84. Corequisite: MDA-1B. Advisory: A minimum typing speed of 60 WPM. Examines transcription of medical reports, formatting, proofreading, punctuation, and editing. Examines medical law and ethics as it relates to medical transcription. 72 hours lecture and 54 hours laboratory.
