CSU Prerequisite: GIS-9. A directed field study program where students will apply classroom instruction to real world Geographic Information Systems (GIS) projects in the community. Students should complete GIS-1 and GIS-9 and arrange for an advisor prior to enrolling in an internship. The student will be under the supervision of an advisor from the college while participating in a short-term internship program in a business or government agency using GIS. Students in internship programs will meet periodically with their advisor, complete interim reports and present a final report. 36 hours lecture and 54 hours laboratory.
