CSU Prerequisite: ELE-10. This class will focus intensively on advanced topics related to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) licensing examination, elements I and III, for the commercial-class, General Radiotelephone Operator License. There will also be an introduction to element VIII, for the radar endorsement to the GROL. The FCC requires any technician or engineer who must repair or make adjustments to any radio frequency (RF) transmitting device of significant power output to hold a valid General Radiotelephone Operator License. Once issued, this license is valid for the lifetime of the bearer. May be taken a total of four times. 54 hours lecture.
