Prerequisite: None. Limitation on enrollment: Acceptance into the RCC Paramedic Program and concurrent enrollment in EMS-60, 61, and 62. Enables Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) to expand their understanding of management of patients with cardiovascular emergencies. This includes treatment protocols, electrocardiogram interpretation (3-lead and 12-lead), pharmacology, and electrical therapy for patients in cardiac distress. 62 hours lecture and 64 hours laboratory.
